About the project

AI
TRASH

AI TRASH is a collaboration between artonymousartifakt and ./SPIRAL, released through SuperRare.

It turns 1,002 discarded pix2pix outputs into a finite generative archive. Every work begins with exactly three source fragments and gives them one final purpose.

How it works

Explore and generate freely. Your source assets are only secured when you choose to prepare one exact artwork for minting.

01

Choose

Select exactly three fragments from the source archive.

02

Create

Generate and inspect as many previews as you like. Nothing is held yet.

03

Prepare

Sign in with SuperRare Connect. The free signature proves which wallet is preparing the artwork while the full image and metadata are secured.

04

Mint

Review the exact finished work, then complete the purchase through SuperRare. The three sources are consumed only after a successful mint.

FAQ

The short version of what your wallet is doing, what is held, and what becomes permanent.

Does connecting or signing cost anything?

No. Connecting and signing authenticate your wallet; they are not purchases and do not move funds. Minting is a separate action shown in the SuperRare checkout.

What does one AI TRASH cost?

The list price is 0.042 ETH. SuperRare adds a 3% buyer fee, making the checkout total 0.04326 ETH before any Ethereum network fee shown by your wallet.

What happens when I prepare an artwork?

The exact artwork and its three sources are temporarily secured for your wallet while the full 4000 x 5000 image and metadata are rendered, validated, and stored on IPFS.

What if I decide not to mint?

The temporary hold expires and the three source assets return to the public archive. They are not consumed unless the mint succeeds.

How many works can exist?

There are 1,002 source fragments and every mint permanently consumes three. The collection can therefore contain no more than 334 works.

Can a source fragment appear in another minted work?

No. Once a mint succeeds, its three source fragments are permanently marked as consumed and cannot be selected for another work.

Where does the finished work live?

The full image and metadata are stored on IPFS, ownership is recorded on Ethereum, and the mint and artwork are presented through SuperRare.

What if checkout is interrupted?

Return using the same browser and wallet. AI TRASH will restore the existing prepared work and SuperRare checkout when possible, so you do not create a second artwork setup.

Start with the archive, choose three fragments, and see what they become before deciding whether to prepare anything.
